About O.B.F.S.

To boost our service member’s WELLNESS AND MORALE, Operation Beanies for Service Members will provide them with hand knitted and crocheted beanies which are created by the skillful hands and warm loving thoughts of volunteer American crafters.

Operation Beanies for Service Members will provide one million (1,000,000) beanies for our service members in US Armed Forces and Veterans in hospitals and convalescent facilities.

Operation Beanies for Service Members was created by Miki Sessler on December 5, 2004 to honor late husband Bertram Sessler.

Operation Beanies for Service Members expands this mission solely with selfless and endless efforts of volunteers.  Started in Orange County California and the operation is trying to spread the mission all over America to collect 1,000,000 (one million) beanies.

In short, we will call this mission known as O.B.F.S.
